Witte's Schoko & Co.

Walking into this little chocolaterie next to the Naschmarkt, you cannot help but compare it to a watch shop or optician as everything is so orderly and neatly stacked with little cardboard labels describing to the curious observor what the product itself might not disclose....this is where the comparison stops. This shop offers everything from different flavours of chocolate fondues, spreads, chocolate bars with varying degrees of cocoa content and ingredients ranging from the conventional (e.g. nuts, caramel) to the more unconventional such as berries, spices, and a variety of herbs. The true highlight of the shop has to be the display cabinet with the pralines though. With maybe a hundred colourful variations, the observor is drawn to such unexpected finds as "green tea/lime", "hot orange coffee", and "violet" amongst many more, the final selection of which a shop assistant will carefully place into little bags for the happy new owner to carry home with.
